After a brief hiatus during our emergency restoration, Boscobel’s much-loved Twilight Tours are back for 2025: brighter and more magical than ever.
Step into the candlelit mansion, aglow with the beauty of a 19th-century Christmas. Rooms shimmer with festive greenery and period-inspired décor, while live music on our c.1815 square piano fills the air with the spirit of Jane Austen’s Regency England. This year’s tour draws inspiration from Austen’s beloved novels in honor of her 250th birthday—from the dinner scene in Emma to the iconic Netherfield Ball of Pride and Prejudice—infusing each space with wit, romance, and holiday cheer.
Structured as an open-house experience, expert guides stationed throughout the mansion share tales of Yuletide traditions, early American craftsmanship, and the ongoing, once-in-a-generation restoration that preserves Boscobel’s splendor for future generations. Children are welcome and will delight in searching for hidden gingerbread kids tucked among the decorations.
Outside, the mansion and grounds glow with elegant lighting, setting the scene for a truly enchanting evening. Each tour concludes with a festive reception in the decorated Visitor Center Gallery, the perfect way to toast the season at one of the Hudson Valley’s most enchanting landmarks.
