Bring the Kids: 2nd Saturdays!
Take a trip through time!
Explore the past through hands-on chores, games, and crafts. Take a flashlight tour of the Boscobel mansion, take a break with a snack, and bring the memories home with a special craft. Starting at 9:30am on the second Saturday of each month, this two-hour program is designed for kids (ages 4+) and their families. A different theme each month:
April 8 What’s Inside? Decorate your own treasure box!
May 13 Watch Me Grow! Plant your own mini herb garden!
June 10 Amazing Architecture! Design, design, design!

The Stars Come Out at Boscobel
Saturday, August 5
3 Sessions: 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am
Gazing up at a night sky, look for star patterns Cygnus the Swan, Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Cassiopeia, Polaris the North Star, and more. Museum Educator Lisa DiMarzo combines stars, constellations and fascinating stories for an exciting, entertaining and enlightening experience. Recommended for ages 4+.
Military Reenactment Day
History comes alive on Boscobel’s grounds!
Sunday, August 27
Military reenactors set up encampments from American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. They demonstrate camp life with inspections, formations, musket firings, artillery demonstrations, and drills. Visitors will see General George Washington inspect his troops, President Abraham Lincoln address his army, and more!
Presented in partnership with the Living History Education Foundation
-The drama takes place rain or shine and is included in the price of admission.
-Boscobel Members, Blue Star Museum Members & children under 6 years of age receive free admission.
Rhyme Time by the Hudson
Joyful learning through nursery rhymes, songs, parachute play, and storytelling will spark your little one’s curiosity and imagination. Lisa DiMarzo leads this interactive program designed for children, ages 1 through 4, with their parents, grandparents, or caregivers. 9:30-10:15am
Spring: Fridays, 6/16, 6/23, 6/30
