History comes alive on Boscobel’s grounds!

Military reenactors set up encampments from American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. They demonstrate camp life with inspections, formations, musket firings, artillery demonstrations, and drills. Visitors will see General George Washington inspect his troops, President Abraham Lincoln address his army, and more!

11:00-12:00 – 6th New York fires the cannon, a locally-produced Parrott gun, to signal that camp is open
12:00-12:30 – Rendezvous with Treason: the Andre/Arnold Conspiracy comes to life
12:30-1:00 – Hudson River Valley Stories by Jonathan Kruk
1:00-1:15 – Inspection of troops by General Washington, President Lincoln, and General Grant
1:15-1:30 – Address from President Abraham Lincoln
1:30-2:00 – Massed drill and weapons’ firing
2:15-2:45 – Hudson River Valley Stories by Jonathan Kruk
3:15-3:45 – Tactical exercise
3:45 – Retreat
Children are welcome to play eighteenth century games on the Front Lawn throughout the course of the day.
-The drama takes place rain or shine and is included in the price of admission.
-Boscobel Members, Blue Star Museum Members & children under 6 years of age receive free admission.
