SPECIAL SALE!
THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS AT BOSCOBEL
Boscobel House & Gardens wishes to extend the following special offers for the 2011 Holiday Season to our neighbors in Putnam County, the surrounding area and New York City as well as visitors from out of state.
Starting Monday, December 12th and continuing for the traditional 12 Days of Christmas, Boscobel’s regular admission fee for mansion tours and the grounds will be reduced from $16 to $12.
In addition, the Boscobel Shop will offer a 12% discount on all purchases.
The rooms of Boscobel Mansion have been specially decorated for a Federal-style Christmas. Our acclaimed docent-led tours have been adapted to include holiday stories from the times.
The fine views and extensive grounds are remarkable in any season and inspire relaxation during these hectic holiday days.
The Boscobel Shop displays a full array of holiday and gift options for all ages and budgets: from books and jewelry to holiday decorations and cards; from fine porcelain and glass to beautiful scarves and linens; not to mention children’s books, toys and stocking stuffers. It is not necessary to buy a ticket to Boscobel to visit the shop and take advantage of the special Holiday discount of 12%.
Become a member of the Friends of Boscobel on the spot and visit free!
Gift memberships to the Friends and gift certificates to the Boscobel Shop, tours or events make great stocking stuffers! They are a gift that gives twice – to your friend or loved one, and to help support Boscobel.
Check the December calendar page for details about the two special Twilight Tours, followed by a Recital and Reception, featuring Czech soprano, Gabriela Mikova, accompanied by Joy Plaisted, harp, on December 18th & 30th.
Boscobel is always closed to the public on Tuesdays, and will be closed Christmas Day.
Boscobel grounds and shop are open from 9:30am to 4pm. The last tour of the mansion is at 3pm. Boscobel closes to the public for the winter season in January, February and March, so don’t miss a chance to stop by with family and friends during our special 12 Days of Christmas period!
Boscobel features an important collection of decorative arts from
the Federal period, with high-style furniture by Duncan Phyfe
and other recognized New York cabinetmakers of the day. Much of
States Dyckman's English china, silver, glass, and part of his
library have also survived and are on exhibit. Collections are
displayed in beautifully appointed period interiors with reproduction
carpets, wallpaper, fabrics, and window treatments based upon
contemporary sources.
