FRIENDS OF BOSCOBEL

Boscobel is a glorious example of New York Federal domestic architecture. The mansion opened its doors to the enjoyment and delight of visitors in 1961. Fully furnished with fine American decorative arts and antiques, the house has been exquisitely preserved over the years by the careful management of Boscobel's original endowment. Special events, theatrical performances, concerts and seminars are the hallmark of the restoration. Experts and visitors from around the world come to study Boscobel's collections.

But Boscobel is more than a beautiful building; and the Friends' support goes beyond preservation. The Friends of Boscobel have plans to provide direct support for continuing educational programs for all generations. When you become a Friend, your support will help us introduce decorative arts and aesthetic appreciation for our architectural heritage to young audiences, our future. You will help us extend our outreach, making educational programs available to more adults than ever before. You will assist our staff in ongoing research, the development of historic and decorative arts seminars, and new educational programs for decades ahead.

A FRIEND IN DEED! The challenges and costs of operating an historic building, overseeing precious collections, maintaining manicured grounds and providing educational programs for the public's enjoyment have become ever more weighty. In order to be an effective tool for learning in the 21st century, we need you as a Friend!
