An editor and photographer for Martha Stewart Living Magazine spent an entire day in Boscobel House this past July. Their goal was to create beautiful photographs and text to encourage and inspire their readers and demonstrate why Boscobel is a must-see in The Hudson Valley. Boscobel was one of 14 historic houses approved by Martha Stewart herself for inclusion in MSL's "American Treasures" section.
According to Editor Fritz Karch, "Boscobel is truly an outstanding example of the art of combining textiles, mill work, cabinet making and lighting in great proportioned architectural space. Definitely an American Treasure!" Find Boscobel in the November 2009 issue of MSL.

The Honorable Pierre Vimont, Ambassador of France to the United Statesvisited and toured the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area in July. Ambassador Vimont participated in a number of public events to celebrate the recent passage of federal legislation that designated the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route a National Historic Trail. The trail traces and commemorates the 600-mile route from Newport, RI to Yorktown, VA taken in 1781 and 1782 by the armies of General George Washington and General Jean-Baptiste de Rochambeau of France. Hudson Valley Congressional Representatives Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) and Nita Lowey (D-NY), together with a group of other distinguished delegates and guests, welcomed the Ambassador and joined him in a luncheon and a tour of the gardens and grounds at Boscobel.

Boscobel Celebrated its new Gallery Exhibition, "Home on the Hudson: Women & Men Painting Landscapes, 1825-1875" with a cocktail reception or two in June. Distinguished guests enjoyed sumptuous hors d'eouvres, a selection of chilled wine and breathtaking views from the Gallery patio's entrance overlooking the Hudson River Highlands.
