SUMMER YOGA ON THE LAWN

This extremely popular program at Boscobel House & Gardens provides the perfect opportunity to fall in love with the outdoors all over again while, at the same time, gaining a sense of good health and wellbeing. Spectacular views entice the senses as you stretch and pose overlooking the Hudson River from the great lawn. Taught by admired and qualified instructor, Ellen Forman, this class fits the needs of all levels, from beginner to expert. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own mats, water and props (if needed). Since this event takes place in the great outdoors, please dress appropriately and comfortably, as you will be holding various yoga poses. Please check-in at front desk upon arrival for each class.

TRAIL RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY


Join us at the grand opening of Boscobel's newest addition to the Woodland Trail: a steep ramble that ends at the edge of Constitution Marsh, a lush habitat for an abundance of marshland wildlife. To blaze the new woodland trail, Boscobel is grateful for the financial support from the Hudson River Valley Greenway Conservancy.
Grounds admission price applies. Rain or shine.
2pm At the Carriage House:
Purchase your grounds pass then head over to the Woodland Trail entrance.
Complimentary water and snacks from Foodtown of Cold Spring.
Pick up a Scavenger Hunt for the kids!

Welcome remarks and trail work recognition by Geoff Platt of Boscobel, a brief presentation by Constitution Marsh Director, Eric Lind followed with a hiking gear demonstration by
Hudson Valley Outfitters.

ANNUAL SNAPPING TURTLE WALK

Staff members of National Audubon Society’s Constitution Marsh Sanctuary will provide an educational program on one of Boscobel’s most fascinating natural events. In early-to-mid June, female snapping turtles crawl up the steep bank from their habitat in Constitution Marsh to lay their eggs. The program will feature live turtles from the marsh, after which staff members will lead a walk around the grounds in search of female turtles.
Coffee and donuts available.
$12 Adults, $8 Children (6-12)
Children under 6 free

TROUT UNLIMITED FISHING DEMO:
FATHER'S DAY AT BOSCOBEL


Spend the day with Dad at Boscobel! Follow the spouting geyser in Boscobel's pond,
and join us for some REEL fun…

  • Starting at 1pm, Trout Unlimited representative Mark Searle will present a Fly Fishing Demonstration,
    followed by a hands-on Fly Tying display
  • Venture back to the pond -- home to an abundance of turtles and frogs -- for a talk from Constitution Marsh representatives about the lifecycle of frogs followed by a fun search around the shore
    to observe the leaping amphibians
  • Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available for purchase

--Father's Day activities are open to all visitors who purchase
a grounds pass at the front desk of Boscobel.

--There will be a limited number of rods for casting,
 so participants are invited to bring their own.
(No hooks, please.)
--Fly tying will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

COSTUMED HOUSE TOURS

On thelastFriday of every month, Boscobel's docents will dress in various period costumes to guide visitors through Boscobel House on an interactive, interpretive tour. They will explain life and times of the 1800s and perhaps share "insidestories" of the Dyckman family: the help, the visitors, the hardships and the celebrations.
Step back in time for a fresh perspective on past & present life.
