NY Army National Guard
42nd Infantry Band Concert
Grab a blanket, pack a picnic and come to the grounds of Boscobel House & Gardens for an on-the-lawn concert performed by the New York Army National Guard’s 42nd Infantry Band (Rainbow Division), a group of 40 musically talented Army National Guard soldiers. The band performs a wide range of musical numbers, including classical pieces, waltzes, even a tribute to Walt Disney. Come show your support for the Army National Guard while enjoying a concert performed on the grounds of one of the Hudson Valley’s most picturesque settings. Attendance to the concert is free after paying the regular admission fee at the Visitor Center before entering the grounds.

Golf Croquet on the Lawn
Croquet may be the sport of royalty, but at Boscobel, it’s the sport of a royally good time.
Join us on the great lawn for croquet instruction by Mike & Cynthia Gibbons.
Mike is a member of
the Croquet Hall of Fame, and Cynthia is on the boards of the National Croquet Center and the Croquet Foundation of America. Both have played the sport of croquet for 15 years on championship tours. There will be instructions and tournaments with lemonade and cookies available throughout. Recommended for all ages, but children should be at least 12 years old. Reservations are highly recommended.

Gallery Talk & Lecture
Frames are an essential part of the display of artwork, as can be seen by the paintings in Boscobel’s current exhibition “Home on the Hudson: Women and Men Painting Landscapes, 1825-1875.” Framing experts Tracy Gill and Simeon Lagodich (Gill &
Lagodich, NYC) will present an informal gallery talk and lecture focusing on the exhibition to illustrate period styles, frame history and appropriate period frame applications. This special educational event will be held in the Exhibition Gallery in the lower level of Boscobel House. Regular grounds/exhibit admission applies. Limited capacity.
