MARKETING & EVENTS COORDINATOR
Boscobel’s Marketing & Events Coordinator must have the characteristics of a “self-starter,” with excellent management, writing and people skills. He/she must be highly computer-literate, familiar with the latest desktop publishing programs, website uses and current computer-generated marketing tools. He/she must be able to manage a variety of different tasks, all within the environment of a non-profit, mission-driven organization and have the flexibility to work periodically after hours and/or on weekends.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning and management of Boscobel’s on site programs and events; booking and management of rentals of Boscobel facilities for weddings, parties, or corporate events; preparation and distribution of advertisements and press releases; supervision of website content and design; production and maintenance of e-mail lists and promotions; production and distribution of marking material; and marketing Boscobel at trade shows and educational programs.

PARKING/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Each summer Boscobel is the host of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. The performance season runs for twelve weeks beginning June 10 through August 31. This position is designed to give support to the Maintenance and Security staff on duty during these performances. It is a temporary position, structured as a 40 hour work week, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Wednesday through Sunday, and occasional Tuesdays for the run of the season.

DOCENT
Boscobel is a restored Federal period house built between 1804-1808 with magnificent period interiors and gardens. The site is recognized nationally for its quality as a historic house museum and as a very special and beautiful place to visit. It is one of the premier tourist attractions of the Hudson Valley attracting over 40,000 visitors annually.
The docent guides tours through the house museum and is the principal staff representative of Boscobel to most visitors. It is essential that they are hospitable and show personal warmth toward all visitors. Docents are expected to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic, have good communication and teaching skills, be willing to work as a team player, and project a professional image. Candidates should have college training with a strong interest in history, architecture and the decorative arts.
This position is part-time and requires working two weekend days per month at a maximum of 1000 hours per year from April through December.
